WP TipFlow

WordPress tipping without the platform cut

Your readers tip you. You keep every dollar.

WP TipFlow adds a one-tap tip button to any WordPress page — Stripe and PayPal built in, no platform middleman, no per-tip fee.

Unlike Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi, or Patreon, WP TipFlow keeps the money flow entirely between you and your payment processor. No platform takes a cut. No visitor data gets handed to a tipping platform. Tipping happens inside your reader’s existing experience.

Free forever. No expiry, no nag screens, no credit card required.

No platform cut

WP TipFlow charges nothing per transaction. Your only payment costs are the standard Stripe or PayPal processor fees.

No redirect required

Readers tip from your site, in your brand, without being sent to a separate creator profile.

Stripe + PayPal

Accept card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay, Link by Stripe, and PayPal guest checkout.

Built for WordPress

Use a Gutenberg block, shortcode, sidebar widget, floating tip drawer, or goal bar.

Built for the people your audience already wants to support.

Whether you publish essays, stream live, maintain open source tools, or run a niche content site, WP TipFlow gives supporters a simple way to contribute without sending them to another platform.

Writers & Bloggers

Your readers tip you right here. You keep every dollar.

Stop splitting tips with a platform that skims from every dollar your audience sends you. Your readers tip you here — on your site, in your brand — and you cash out to your bank. Full stop.

Open Source & Developer Projects

Fund your project. No GitHub required.

Add a tip button to your docs site, project homepage, or plugin landing page. Stripe and PayPal are supported out of the box. No GitHub Sponsors dependency, no Patreon branding, no percentage taken.

Add tips to your docs

Start accepting tips in three steps.

No hosted creator profile. No separate tipping account. No complicated workflow.

1

Install the free plugin.

Download WP TipFlow from WordPress.org, activate it, and paste your Stripe or PayPal API keys into the settings page.

2

Drop a tip button anywhere.

Use the Gutenberg block, a shortcode, the classic WordPress sidebar widget, or the floating tip drawer. It takes one click in the editor.

3

Tips go straight to your account.

No middleman. Money moves from your reader directly to your Stripe or PayPal balance.

Upgrade to Pro when tips become part of your workflow.

WP TipFlow Pro includes every free feature plus the advanced tools creators, streamers, developers, and agencies need to grow supporter revenue from their own WordPress site.

OBS Streamer Overlays

Real-time tip alerts and animated goal bars served as OBS browser sources. Paste the overlay URL into OBS and it works immediately with no extra software or third-party overlay service.

Animated Goal Bars

Goal bars fill with smooth animation on page load. Add milestone labels at configurable percentages and trigger a celebration state when the goal is reached.

Tip Reactions

After a tip is sent, show a confetti burst, animated fill graphic, and optional social share prompt. Make tipping feel like an event, not a form submission.

Context-Aware Smart Prompts

Trigger a tip prompt based on scroll depth, time on page, exit intent, or file/download link clicks. Prompts are configured per block and appear a maximum of once per page session.

Analytics Dashboard

See tips over time, top posts by tip revenue, processor breakdown, and average tip amount from your own WordPress database — no third-party analytics service required.

Venmo Support

Accept Venmo payments through the PayPal SDK when Venmo is enabled on the connected PayPal business account. Mobile fallback can open the Venmo app directly.

Recurring Tips

Accept monthly or yearly recurring tips with Stripe Billing or PayPal Subscriptions. Track active recurring supporters and monthly recurring revenue in the admin.

Supporter Feed

Display recent supporters through the tipflow_feed shortcode or Gutenberg block. Show supporter names, optional amounts, and tip dates from your own supporter table.

Supporter Perks

Create tip amount thresholds that unlock perks like discount codes. Generate unique redemption codes and email them automatically to qualifying supporters.

CRM & Email Integrations

Add supporters to Mailchimp or ConvertKit after a tip, or send outbound webhooks to any URL for custom workflows.

A/B Testing

Test two versions of a tip prompt at the block level. Assign variants by cookie, track conversions, and view results in the analytics dashboard.

Transparent Funding Dashboard

Show operating costs, monthly tips, active goals, and all-time support totals with a public-facing dashboard designed to build audience trust.

Frequently asked questions

Does WP TipFlow take a cut of tips?

No. Tips go directly from your readers to your Stripe or PayPal account. WP TipFlow charges nothing per transaction. You pay only your processor’s standard rate.

Does a visitor need an account to tip?

No. With Stripe, visitors can pay by card with no account. With PayPal, they can use a PayPal account or PayPal guest checkout. With Venmo in Pro, they use the Venmo app.

Can I use the free plugin forever?

Yes. There is no expiry, no feature lock after a trial period, and no nag screen.

Do I need both plugins installed?

No. WP TipFlow Pro is a complete superset of the free plugin. Install only Pro. The free and Pro plugins cannot be active at the same time.

What payment processors are supported?

The free plugin supports Stripe and PayPal. Stripe also covers Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay, and Link by Stripe. Pro adds Venmo through the PayPal SDK.

Does it work with my theme?

Yes. The frontend uses CSS custom properties that inherit your theme’s color palette, with fallbacks. No theme edits are required.

Is it multisite compatible?

The plugin can be network-activated. Multisite is not officially supported in v1, so each subsite manages its own settings, goals, and tips independently.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

The uninstall routine drops all plugin database tables and removes all plugin options. Export your tip history from the TipFlow admin before uninstalling if you need to keep records.

How does Pro licensing work?

Each Pro license ties to a domain. Activate your key from TipFlow → License in the WordPress admin. You can deactivate and transfer the license to a different domain at any time. Personal covers 1 domain, Business covers 5 domains, and Agency covers unlimited domains.

Where can I get support?

Free plugin support is handled through the WordPress.org support forum. Pro support is provided through linuxgnut.com.
